3. Interview & Waitlist
Through the Mock Interview & Waitlist Guidance Service, the Client and consultant prepare for the Client’s mock interview by analyzing the admissions interview questions and then articulating effective answers based on the Client’s background and essays. This is achieved by taking the message delivered on paper, through the application essays, and placing them into a conversational context; thus honing a specific and concise in-person message for the impending interview.
This individual service contains three primary components:
- Mock Interview – AACG consultants were former admission interviewers for top MBA programs, consulting firms and investment banks. AACG will conduct a mock interview with the client, provide guidance on the questions and then provide nuanced feedback on the client’s response and presence.
- School Interaction Guidance – AACG assists the client with scheduling visits and interaction with the school. This includes information sessions, specific class visits, interaction with alumni. This puts the client’s name out there and in the minds of the Admissions Committee members.
- Waitlist Guidance – Should the client be waitlisted at any of their programs, AACG follows up with guidance on additional recommendations, school interaction, communication timelines and protocol. Every effort is made to ensure the client moves to the top of the waitlist, off of the waitlist and into the program.
Differences between this individual service and the Full Engagement Service:
- While this individual service is based on the the fourth stage of the Full Engagement Service, it is limited to one 90-minute phone consultation.
- It is important to note that this service only provides limited initial strategic guidance, as the final editing of the essays, resume and letters of recommendation has been completed. This is the primary difference between this individual service and its associated element in the Full Engagement Service.
At the conclusion of this service, the Client will receive a defined set of finalized essays, resume and completed application for a specific MBA program.
